Dr. Cormac Sookram joined Western Colorado Pediatric Associates, a division of Primary Care Partners in 2016. His enthusiasm and love for his career and patients is evident in every aspect of his daily practice.
He attended college at the University of Texas in Austin, completed his residency at the University of New Mexico Children’s Hospital, and graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Medical School in 2013. He was previously an engineer before pursuing medicine.
Dr. Sookram spent significant time during his training in rural outreach clinics and also working with indigenous tribes in Panama. He has volunteered in homeless shelters and free community clinics. He believes that each child is unique, and each family deserves high quality care. He has particular interest in ADHD, gastrointestinal diseases, and adolescent medicine. It is Dr. Sookram’s privilege to assist in their development, safety, and well-being.
Dr. Sookram spends his out of work hours with his wife who is a local Veterinarian and two young sons hiking, biking, camping, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, four wheeling. You may also find him under the hood of an old car or welding.
